About the event

The annual VIC International Women’s Day Breakfast is a perennial highlight in the PIA Victoria events calendar. Sit down and enjoy a delicious hot breakfast while hearing from a distinguished keynote speaker, and be among the first to hear the winner of the inaugural PIA Victoria Women in Planning Leadership Award.

With this Women’s Planning Network (WPN) event, we recognise the contribution of women in planning, a profession in which women have a long history of participation and leadership in roles that provide a significant contribution to the wellbeing and liveability of the communities we create.

The theme of this year's International Women's Day is 'March Forward.' In the words of Minister for Women Senator the Hon Katy Gallagher, this year's theme speaks to the fact “that progress is not just about reflection but about taking decisive, bold steps to turn our commitments into action."
